Could possibly segment via periodical (magazine) / (collected) volume releases.
Periodicals typically contain a single chapter while volumes contain many chapters.

Gonna work on a mock up once I fix my instance of the client again. But per one of our discussions from April, categories based on serialization method:
Periodical (chapter-based), Tankobon (small volumes), and Bunkobon (large volumes)
(Similar to DVD/BD/Both).
Potentially will need Check boxes going from Chapter/Volume 1 through current latest volume/chapter.
This part could be challenging because a user may not own all sequential volumes/chapters and if a manga is still releasing, the maximum may update from time to time.
Could potentially put the burden on the user to add entries for "Manga: Noragami" "Formats/volumes owned: Volume 1" and then just add all volumes in a list under that.

Solved this issue by making a scrolling list that just shows 1-X under "Volumes/Chapters" owned. Can have it display "volumes" for periodical and "chapters" for Tankobon/Bunkobon.
One challenge with the forms will be that currently you have the ability to select multiple formats in the DVD/BD menu. For manga, it may be easier to only add one format at a time and if you own more than one format, add it again for each format? Unsure...
